Who pays for a dividing fence?
In most Australian states, the cost of a standard dividing fence is shared 50/50 with the neighbour. Premium upgrades are generally paid by whichever owner wants them.
Is pool fencing different?
Pool fencing must meet the Australian Standard AS 1926.1. Heights, gaps and gate latches are strictly regulated and council inspections are required.
